The Investigator™ is a state-of-the-art condition assessment and leak detection system designed for live inspection of pressurized potable water pipelines ranging from 3” to 12” in diameter. Using a tethered tri-sensor head combining high-definition video, acoustic leak detection, and sonde-based line tracing, the system captures critical asset data without disrupting service.
This innovative platform enables municipalities and asset owners to proactively assess aging distribution systems, pinpoint leaks, and map pipeline features—all while pipelines remain in operation.
The Investigator™ is launched through pressurized fittings or hot taps and can travel up to 100m (300ft) in each direction from the insertion point. The tethered sensor head collects high-resolution video and acoustic data simultaneously, enabling real-time analysis and accurate pinpointing of leaks, blockages, and internal conditions.
Data is processed through purpose-built software that displays video, highlights acoustic anomalies by amplitude and frequency, and supports immediate review with no post-processing required.
